blogging aboot my article #2

http://www.nwrel.org/request/feb97/article4.html

if you want to read it then go there^

so, after a long day at school, i was glad to be able to come home and relax. i sat in my room sipping coffee and enjoying some rather delicious cookies, when i suddenly realized that today is thursday. this means blog day. this means my day of relaxing was ruined. i am exagerating. enjoy.

this particular article happens to be about schools that are switching to a four day school week. students and teachers alike, around the world, are probably jumping for joy at the thought of attending school only four days a week, and i suppose it is a rather motivating idea. personally i would enjoy the benefits of this four day school week (and when i say "benefits" i am refering to the lack of schools presence:) and i believe that many of my fellow classmates would also be interested in the subject. we have been discussing and writing about this topic in my english class and considering that i am the world's greatest procrastinator, and put this blog off until the last minute, i decided that this would be the easiest and quickest way to complete my assignment:). after reading the article i realize that there are actually many benefits that come from shortening the school week. more time in class allows for more time to complete assignments and even one on one time to learn. i am curious to know if our school has given any thought to the matter? oh how i would enjoy a nice four day school week....

that is all.

I like my five day school weeks very much thank you. Just think if we lived in China we'd be going to school 10 hours a day. Shortening the school week to four days only makes some of us dumber. My views on school? Glad you asked. First of all, I think that before students enter high school, a test should be given to test intelligence and aptitude. Your score determines whether you go to high school where you will be thoroughly prepared for college or vocational school where you will learn to fix toilets. I think this would solve the education in the U.S.

I think Cierra turned into some twist of a Communist Nazi.

Jesus Christ.

Anyways..A four day school week, eh? Okay. I see the behefits. Longer weekend. Woo. But how long with that extend the school day to? Would we be staying much longer? Because I hate school enough as it is and staying much longer might just make me have a hernia. Ew. Scratch that. And are these schools that are doing this go like..year round or something? You know what I mean. The ones that have about 3 week breaks every so often?
I don't know. It's debatable.

P.S.- the word verification they are making me do is "dtardf". I find that amusing.

I would like a four day school week. Overall I think it would be beneficial- longer weekends, less work (maybe), plus kids wouldn't get burnt out on school as quickly. On the other hand, if school hours were extended it would render a four day week useless ('cause it would equal out to be about the same quite frankly). I get were Ally is comming from and agree. Cierra is obiously suffering from trauma to the head or something!?!

p.s.- my word verification is xrdqamm! Is this a new curse word or something?????
